Kira’s Birthday Present

Standard

Hello! Well, my granddaughter, Kira, turned 5 today. That is just so hard for me to comprehend. Just yesterday, she was a newborn. I honestly don’t know where the time goes. It seems like you blink and they go from being a newborn to 5…I wonder what age Kira will be the next time I blink. Anyway, I made a doll for her that I thought I would share with you. This was made with Vogue pattern number 7730. As you can tell my stuffing of her face wasn’t the best and she ended up looking like she has a cleft chin. But that doesn’t matter, Kira loves her and immediately named her Gretchen.

Talk to you again when I have another project to share.

Here are some photos of a doll I made for my daughter’s friend. I know I have much, much more to learn, but I think this isn’t  bad for a first attempt. She is far from perfect, but I still figure it wasn’t a bad first attempt. I also have the added bonus that my daughter’s friend loves this little attempt at a replica.
