44th Street Fabric Giveaway

Just a few things I have been working on for Christmas. My son-in-law’s mother likes holiday towels to put out so I made her a few towels and then appliqued different holiday stuff on for her. The beaded ornaments are for my daughter. I found the tutorial by googling “free beaded ornament cover tutorials”. When I find the exact website, I will post it for you.

     

Christmas Projects

Hello again! I’ve been working on some Christmas projects for Kira. First, we have two toys that I crocheted for her. The patterns came from a huge notebook I found at Half Price Books called Vanna’s Afghan and Crochet Favorites.

 

 

I am also working on a quilt for her that has Tinkerbell quilt blocks I ordered from Ebay.

 

Lastly, I wanted to share some photos of the beautiful patriotic panel and matching fabrics I bought. I loved the way the red, white and blue was done in muted shades of those colors and I had to have them.

Kira’s Halloween Costume Completed

Well, I finally finished Kira’s Halloween costume. Once I was done with that, I decided that I’d whip up a Trick or Treat bag to go with it. I am so pleased with how these turned out. I’m linking this to Quilt Story for their Fabric Tuesday linky party.

Kira’s 2012 Halloween Costume

Kira wanted to be a dragon for Halloween this year, so here is a photo of my work in progress. I’ll take more photos once I have finished the hands, hood and breast piece. Before the back of this is finished, I’ll stitch the spines together that have a gap between them. She seems to be really tickled with this costume.

Green Lantern Jacket

Joshua found a website where the woman makes her own patterns for super hero jackets and asked if I could make him one. The photos show the results. Joshua is happy with what I did.  The website for the original idea is Uncanny Adventures in Comic Costume Creations.

While I was reading some of the blogs I subscribe to, I found this great tutorial over at Designs by Fee. Wouldn’t this make a great gift?

Star Afghan

The manager here at the apartments I live in is going to a different apartment complex so I made an afghan for her. This was the first time I had ever made this pattern. I’m pretty pleased with the results.

Quilt along

Angela over at Cut to Pieces is sharing the blocks of a Mario Brothers quilt she designed in a quilt along. I know my son would like this quilt. I love how generous the crafters you find on the internet are.

I like Stumbleupon. Was looking through some of the recommended sites when I stumbled upon this one at …love Maegan. I thought this was a cute and very original idea.
